Whether you’re seeking a one-of-a-kind handmade gift or looking for some quality time with the big man in the red suit the first weekend in December is packed full of options.

FAIRS

The second annual University of Idaho Student Holiday Print and Ceramics Sale is from 5-8 Thursday, Dec. 3 at the Prichard Gallery, 414 S. Main St., in Moscow. Students will be selling original ceramic and print artwork created this semester. Proceeds from the sale will go to the artists and studios.

More than 32 local nonprofits will be represented at the Alternative Giving Market of the Palouse from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3 at the 1912 Center; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Dec. 12 at the Winter Market at the 1912 Center; and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Dec. 12 at the Palouse Mall. People can purchase “gifts” in the form of donations. They are also available online at agmpalouse.org.

Holiday crafts and artisanal items will be for sale at the Winter Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at the 1912 Center at 412 E. Third St., in Moscow. The market will also take place Dec. 12.

Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is holding its 10th annual Holiday Gift Gala from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Saturday, Dec. 5 in Uniontown. The barn will be full of resident and visiting artists selling gifts including stained glass boxes and candles, custom fishing rods, quilts, cards, aprons, clothing, bags, toys, jewelry, fiber arts, birdhouses and more. Admission is free. The barn is along U.S. Highway 195 and will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Dec. 23 and closing at 3 pm Dec. 24.

The Associated Students of Lewis-Clark State College will hold its 36th annual ASLCSC Christmas Craft Fair from 9  a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at the LCSC Activity Center.

The 18th annual Beadwork Bazaar is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Visitor’s Center at Nez Perce National Historical Park at Spalding. Items for sale will include jewelry, wearable art, flutes and more in traditional and nontraditional themes. Admission is free. The park is located

11 miles east of Lewiston along U.S. Highway 95.

Orofino’s annual Patchwork Bazaar craft show will feature homemade and handmade items from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 with food available for purchase at the Orofino Junior-Senior High School, 300 Dunlap Road. Admission is free.

The Palouse Round Table Christmas Craft Sale is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Palouse Community Center, 220 E. Main St.  A meal served at noon features ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, rolls and pie for $8. Pie and coffee will be served all day for $2.50.
