Harlem Globetrotters Athleticism, comedy and theater come together when the Harlem Globetrotters take the court. The exhibition basketball team is coming to Pullman for a performance at 7 p.m. Feb. 23, at Beasley Coliseum on the Washington State University campus. Ticket prices range from $21 to $261 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday at all TicketsWest outlets, including www.ticketswest.com or at the Beasley Coliseum ticket office. Celebrating their 90th anniversary, the Harlem Globetrotters have played more than 20,000 exhibition games in 120 countries.
Gritmans annual Pink Tea Reservations are now being taken for Gritman Medical Centers 14th annual Pink Tea and its first Pink Cocktail. The tea will be 10-11:30 a.m. and the Pink Cocktail will be 4-5:30 p.m., both Oct. 27 at the Best Western Plus University Inn, 1516 Pullman Road, Moscow. Each hourlong event will feature a local keynote speaker who has been affected personally by breast cancer. Participants will also have the chance to win prizes donated by local businesses, organizations and community members. Paint like a Master Artisans at the Dahmen Barn will turn amateurs into professionals in three hours with their Paint a Masterpiece workshop 6-9 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Dahmen Barn, 419 N. Parkway, Uniontown. The workshop features a floral image from a famous master artist for each participant to paint. The class fee is $39 and will include a canvas, paint, and tools along with beverage and snacks. Participants can be beginners or at any level of experience. Sweeney Todd Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street slices its way to the stage at Regional Theatre of the Palouse for its debut at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at RTOP, 122 N. Grand Ave., Pullman. The musical thriller, with score and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler, follows the story of Benjamin Barker who returns to London to take revenge on the judge who banished him. Sweeney Todd premiered in 1979 and won 10 Tony awards.
