CLARKSTON — The Valley Art Center here will feature an exhibit of watercolor works by Andy Sewell of Viola. An opening reception will be 4 to 7 p.m. April 6.
Refreshments and light appetizers will be served.
The show will continue through April 28.
Regular hours at the gallery, at 842 Sixth St., are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

PULLMAN — The annual Washington State University Mom’s Spring Arts and Crafts Fair is April 6 and 7 at Beasley Coliseum here.
A variety of vendors will fill the concourse of the coliseum for the free event. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The annual event takes place during Mom’s Weekend at WSU.
April 7
GENESEE — Earl H. Bennett of Genesee will talk about how small-town America coped with the influenza pandemic of 1918 during a presentation at 7 p.m. April 7 at the Genesee Senior Center.
Bennett, volunteer Genesee City Historian, will give an illustrated talk describing how Genesee reacted when the virus infected more than 200 people in the town of 675 residents. The Spanish Flu would cause 25 deaths in the small town.
Bennett, a Genesee resident since 1975, retired in 2002 from the University of Idaho where he was dean of the College of Mines and Earth Resources and the College of Science. He is a member of both the Nez Perce and Latah county historical societies, and is a board member for the Idaho State Historical Society.
The event is free and light refeshments will be served. The center is at 140 E. Walnut St.

MOSCOW — For the fifth year, more than 800 people will gather April 7 for an 11-hour video games marathon in the Idaho Commons on the University of Idaho campus here. UI’s Vandal Overnight Games is billed as the largest community gaming event on the Palouse.
UI Information Technology Services sponsors the free event, which will run from 1 p.m. to midnight. The 100,000 square feet will be divided into 25 gaming areas.
Pre-registration is encouraged but not required, and attendees can bring their own systems, games or computers and use the custom-built, high-speed network, projectors and big-screens set up around the building.
Areas also are set up for board, tabletop and card games, including Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons, according to a news release.

LEWISTON — A Scotts MLB Pitch Hit & Run competition will be held for boys and girls ages 7 to 14 beginning at 11 a.m. April 8 at Airport Park here.
This local competition will allow boys and girls to compete in pitching, hitting and running skills in two different divisions, baseball or softball. Competitors can advance through three additional levels: sectionals, team championships and the national finals.
