In a battle against the region's big dogs, Rae Brothers Sporting Goods proved it was up to the task.

The Grangeville sporting goods store rallied the troops to earn the title of Best Outdoor Store in the 2018 Inland 360 Readers' Choice Awards.

Rae Brothers earned the title after collecting 36 percent of the vote to edge last year's winner, Hyperspud Sports of Moscow.

Hyperspud finished with 32 percent of the vote in 2018. Other finalists for the category were Tri-State Outfitters of Moscow and Lewiston and North 40 Outfitters of Lewiston. The finalist designation is given to entrants that receive at least 10 percent of the reader vote.
