The former St. Ignatius Hospital at Colfax will be open for tours one more time Nov. 28 for ghost hunters.

If you would rather hang out in a haunted hospital than shop on Black Friday, Colfax's St. Ignatius is open for another round of tours and ghost hunts after unexpected success during the Halloween season.

Colfax Unified Director Valoree Gregory recently announced a new round of tours called "Nightmare Before the Holidays."  The first tour will take place on Black Friday. Tours will continue through Dec. 5.

"We figure a lot of people will be home for the holidays," Gregory told the Whitman County Gazette.

Ghost hunts will be similar to those held in October but more historical tours are also being offered. The Haunted Hospital raised more than $6,500 for Colfax over a 15-day span with visitors coming from as far as New York and Florida, according to the newspaper.

Scheduled events include hour long tours from 1-5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27 ($20); and 7-10 p.m. Dec. 3 ($15). Ghost Hunt tours will take place 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28 ($45); 10 p.m. Dec. 4 ($50); and 8-11 p.m. Dec. 5 ($45). Tickets are available at colfaxhauntedhospital.com.
