T.V. Mike and the Scarecrowes will bring cosmic twang American stomp to John’s Alley at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19.
T.V. Mike, also known as Mike Klinge, began playing music in Bloomington, Ind., in 1999 under the Pious Companion, which opened for the Constantines and My Morning Jacket. In 2005 Klinge met Andrea DelaRosa and gathered a backing band called the Scarecrowes. Based out of Oakland, Calif., the band has shared the stage with the Avett Brothers, the Blank Tapes, Horse Feathers, Dead Winter Carpenters and many more. The group plays from the Great American Songbook in the spirit of the Band and the Grateful Dead.
