The sound: Americana indie folk that’s “too driving and dynamic to be folk, too thoughtful to be pop”

Bio: Formed in 2015, Shoring’s blend of modern Americana folk aligns ‘60s pop and ‘70s rock along a rhythmic backbone more reliant on Cheap Trick than singer-songwriter James Taylor. The band released its debut self-titled album last spring featuring songs that explore the depths of love, loss and rebirth.

Members: Jesse Dreher (keys, guitar, backing vocals), Brian Bergstrom (guitar, lead vocals), Mickey Nucci (bass), and Nick Kostenborder (drums, backing vocals)
