Moscow illustrator Robert Jacobson in a drawing of himself and the star of his new children's book, "The Green Cat."

In this lively, self-published children’s story, an audacious green cat narrates in verse how he teaches twin kittens the value of hard work - that is work according to a cat - from playing the piano to escaping an angry crowd. Along the way he explains why it’s okay for a cat to be green.

Moscow author and illustrator Robert Jacobson has worked as an advertising and fine artist, university professor, and book and magazine illustrator. As the founder of RJ Design he is the creator of more than 500 educational posters for schools and libraries. He and his son Erik collaborated on the children's book, "Pond Hockey: Kita Learns to Skate."
