Jan. 17 and 18
The Senders, a favorite Northwest band specializing in covers of classic rock, will play dances Jan. 17 in Lewiston and Jan. 18 in Greencreek.
Friday evening from 7-11, the Senders will play at the Lewiston Elks, 3444 Country Club Drive. Cost is $10. Dinner will be available for purchase beginning at 6 p.m.
Saturday evening, the Senders begin playing at 9 p.m. at the Greencreek Hall, 1062 Greencreek Road. The dance follows the 2020 Greencreek Crab Feed, which is sold out. Tickets still are available for the dance, and cost $8.
The Senders play rock covers from the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s, and band members are Hal Logan on drums, Jim Roberts on guitar, Jon Anderson on keyboard and guitar, and Mark Snodgrass on electric and upright bass. All four provide vocals.
Jan. 18
The next community contra dance will be the evening of Jan. 18 at Moscow’s 1912 Center.
The band Under the Wire will provide live dance music, and a variety of people will do the calling for the folk dance.
Dance lessons begin at 7:30 p.m. with the dance to run from 8-10:30 p.m. Cost is $6 for Palouse Folklore Society members, $8 regular price, $5 for first-time dancers and children are admitted free.
The center is at 412 E. Third St.
Jan. 19
The Lewis-Clark Community Concert Band will play a concert beginning at 3 p.m. Jan. 19 in the Lewiston High School auditorium.
The concert is free and donations are accepted.
The high school is at 1114 Ninth Ave.
