Moscow's Farmer's Market pairs live music with local food and produce

Main Street is closed off for the weekly Moscow Farmer's Market.

The Moscow Farmer's Market is up and running on Main Street downtown from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through October. While it's early in the season and fresh produce is not yet abundant there are plant starts to buy and many other artisan crafts and foods.

The Lewis-Clark State College Jazz Band and Saxophone Quartet will perform at the market  from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 18.  The jazz band is under the direction of Gary Gemberling featuring vocalist Kathleen Gemberling with a variety of traditional and modern big band swing. The Saxophone Quartet under the direction of Bill Perconti will perform a variety of light classical and pop music.

The Moscow Farmers Market Vendor of the week is Arrow Clay Works. This booth features handmade items including ceramics and jewelry. Arrow Clay Works has been a vendor at the Moscow Farmers Market for 14 years.

With Shop the Market, area families can use EBT or SNAP benefits. Those interested can visit the Shop the Market booth at the City Tent to receive “Market Money” which vendors will accept for approved purchases.
