Fans young and old can meet Lewiston's Warrior Baseball team at Saturday's Hometown Pep Rally

The Lewis-Clark State College Warrior Baseball team will greet fans Saturday in downtown Lewiston at the first Hometown Pep Rally.

From 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18 team members will be at seven downtown businesses meeting and greeting people. Team photos for signing will be available. There will be prizes for the children who make it to all seven businesses which are Blue Lantern Coffee House, Matt's Grill, LCSC Center for Arts & History, Image! Design Center, Headmasters School of Hair Design, Follett's Furniture, and Seasons & More.

At Noon, activities will move to Brackenbury Square for live music by the Highland Marimba Band, pep rally speeches by the coach and team supporters, and a barbecue. There will also be a jumping castle. This event will conclude around 1:30 p.m.

There will also be a  kids' coloring contest with sheets available at www.beautifuldowntownlewiston.org. One child from each of three age categories will be awarded a Warrior Baseball prize that includes tickets to the upcoming Avista NAIA World Series. Coloring sheets must be completed before the event and can be turned in at Brackenbury Square for judging between 10 - 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
