Submissions will be accepted through March 21 for the city of Moscow’s mural project at the corner of Jackson and A streets.
Individual artists and artist teams 18 and older can submit their qualifications and examples of work at
moscowarts.submittable.com/submit to be reviewed by a selection panel that will recommend three finalists.
Finalists will receive a $1,000 honorarium to create a site-specific design, according to a city of Moscow news release. The artist selected for the mural installation will have a budget of as much as $25,000 to cover fees, insurance, travel, engineering, fabrication and installation.
The project is open to artists from throughout the U.S., though preference may be given to those who live in Latah County, Nez Perce County or who are Nez Perce or Coeur d’Alene tribal members or have a significant Idaho economic presence, according to the news release. Secondary preference will be given to artists from Asotin or Whitman counties.
