Bee on yellow flowers

The long-horned bee (Eucera) is finding nectar in a small plant known as fiddleneck (Amsickia) because of how the stem curves like the neck of a violin. The photo was taken by Nan Vance on May 4 near the Warner Avenue Community Park path along the canyon rim.
