"Converting a Wheat Field into Palouse Prairie"

Tom Besser will present this talk at the next Idaho Native Plant Society meeting on his attempts to reconstruct Palouse Prairie on a few acres of former wheat field. His project was initially seeded in September 2017 and is about to start its seventh growing season. He will discuss the why and how of his project along with aspects that went well, and those that did not go so well. Tom is a current board member of both the Palouse Prairie Foundation and White Pine Chapter of the Native Plant Society.
