Earth Day - Boxes into Biochar

Standing in the truck bed, Joe Thornton of Pullman School District delivers a stockpile of used pizza boxes from the Pullman High School cafeteria to Pullman's Ruby Street Park at 605 NE Colorado Street on April 22, 2023 (Earth Day). The boxes are received by Cullen Anderson of The Phoenix Conservancy, on behalf of the Pizza for the Planet collaborative project. Pizza boxes will be converted to biochar, and used in The Phoenix Conservancy's local ecosystem restoration work.
