"Ecocinema and the New Wave of Chinese Science Fiction"

When: Thu., Feb. 22, 1:30-2:30 p.m. 2024

Professor Kiu-wai Chu of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore will speak in the Clearwater Room on the significance of recent Chinese sci-fi films in ecological perspective. Chu is a leading scholar in the study of the environmental humanities in Asia and is visiting the University of Idaho as part of the East Asian Ecocinema Symposium, hosted by the Habib Institute for Asian Studies.
