"Oklahoma!"

Troy Community Theatre, under the supervision of the Troy Arts Council, presents Rodgers & Hammerstein’s classic. Based on Lynn Riggs's 1931 play "Green Grow the Lilacs," the story is set in a rural community outside the town of Claremore, Indian Territory, in 1906 (very similar to our little town of Troy). It tells the story of Laurey Williams and her courtship by two rival suitors, cowboy Curly McLain and the sinister and frightening farmhand Jud Fry. Other beloved characters such as Ado Annie, Aunt Eller and Will Parker navigate the fun and exciting life of cowboys and farmers. Tickets will also be available to purchase at the gate 30 minutes before performance (cash/check only). Seats are a first-come, first-served basis.
