Once in a Blue Goose

sarah
I saw this dark goose among a flock of 15-20 white Snow geese at Genesee ponds on April 24. It looked brown to me but is called a "Blue" goose and is the same species as the white Snow goose. A few have been seen around the Palouse this winter but this color morph is unusual. Photo by Sarah Walker, at Genesee sewage ponds, April 24.
