Pullman Depot Heritage Center sponsors a talk by the author of "Finding Chief Kamiakin: The Life and Legacy of a Northwest Patriot" by Scheuerman and Michael O. Finley. “Finding Chief Kamiakin” is the story of a prominent leader of the Yakama Tribe who, in the 1850s, led a coalition of Columbia Plateau tribes to face the U.S. Army after a surge of immigrants jeopardized the native population’s lands and traditional way of life.
