"The Secret Game" tribute

In honor of Black History Month, the LCSC athletic department will recognize and pay tribute to The Secret Game, which was the historic contest between North Carolina Central University and the Duke University medical school basketball teams in 1944. Because African American teams were prohibited from participating in National Collegiate Athletic Association events, the game had to take place in secret behind locked doors. The LCSC basketball teams will play Multnomah University, with the women’s game at 5 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 7 p.m.
