Members of Troy Historical Society are preparing to decorate veterans’ graves in the seven Troy (Idaho) area cemeteries with wreaths as part of the Wreathes Across America Program.
Each cemetery will have eight wreaths at the entrance with an American flag, a red bow and one of the eight service flags representing the seven services: Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines, Air Force, Space Force, wartime serving Merchant Marines, and the POW/ MIA flag. The veterans in the cemetery will have simple wreaths with a red bow. The wreaths mark their resting place whether or not they have a military headstone.
