Bio: Over the last decade, frontman Jeff Crosby earned his chops with the Idaho funk jam band Equaleyes before moving to Los Angles in pursuit of a solo career. He then formed his own band, Jeff Crosby and the Refugees, featuring other members of Equaleyes. In 2013 the band signed with Jerry Joseph’s record label, Cosmic Sex School Records, and released the EP “Silent Conversations.”
Breakout tunes: Two songs from “Silent Conversations,” “This Old Town” and “Oh Love, Oh Lord,” were featured on the FX-TV show “Sons of Anarchy” in 2013. “This Old Town” is about Crosby’s reaction to returning to Idaho after moving to LA.
Up Next: The band is on tour showcasing its next album, “All Nighter,” set to be released July 4 in McCall.
