Lindsay Webber, 19, of Colfax, is a finalist in a National Anthem singing contest where the winner will receive a $10,000 college scholarship.As one of four finalists Webber traveled to Nashville to record her rendition of the anthem at the House of Blues Studio. A TV episode featuring her experience in Nashville will air Thursday, Aug. 28 on RFD-TV, a cable channel that focuses on rural America (viewers should check local listings for times). Today through Sept. 18 people can view the finalists’ entries and vote for a winner online at www.FMCcrop.com/contest.
Webber attends Baylor University where she is majoring in vocal performance. More than 230 people entered the Stand and Be Heard Anthem Singing Contest, sponsored by FMC Agricultural Solutions of Philadelphia, Pa. The winner will be announced Sept. 22. The three runners up will each receive a $5,000 scholarship.
