Fly Fishing Film Tour

The Clearwater Fly Casters & Backcountry Lark are screening a collection of fly fishing short films at 6:30 p.m. SEPT. 14 at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, 508 S. Main St., Moscow. The films shown are from around the world, including Montana, Cuba and Mongolia. Tickets are $10 in advance at Backcounty Lark, 512 S. Main St., Moscow or online at www.backcountrylark.com. Tickets will also be available for $15 at the door. Fifty percent of all the proceeds will go to the Clearwater Fly Caster’s scholarship fund.

Mutt Strut

Pullman’s seventh annual Mutt Strutt will take place at 8 a.m. SEPT. 12 at Reaney Park in Pullman. The event, sponsored by Morris Animal Foundation, is raising money to support Pooch Park, Whitman County’s first off-leash dog park. Registration for Mutt Strutt is $15 before Aug. 24, and includes a Mutt Strutt T-shirt and goody bag. Participants can also sign up for the 5k Fun Run/Walk for $15. Registration for the Mutt Strutt and 5k is $20, and includes two T-shirts and a goody bag. Registration donations increase $5 on Aug. 24. Participants can register and find more information online at www.whitmanpets.org/muttstrutt. Event activities include a dog costume contest, a Doggy Bob and Musical Chairs.

Asotin County Library Foundation Festival

Asotin County Library Foundation’s third annual Fall Festival will be held at 6:30 p.m. SEPT. 26 at the Clarkston Event Center, 841 Sixth St., Clarkston. The festival will include wine and beer tasting, along with auctions to benefit the Asotin County Library Foundation. Tickets for the festival are $35 for general admission, which includes three wine or beer tastings. VIP tickets are $50 and include unlimited wine or beer tastings. Tickets can be purchased online at www.brownpapertickets.com. The Asotin County Library Foundation’s top priority is to raise money for construction of a mezzanine at the downtown library to provide space for community programming.

Queensrÿche

Heavy metal band Queensrÿche will perform at 7:30 p.m. OCT. 25 at the Northern Quest Pend Oreille Pavilion, 100 N. Hayford Road, Airway Heights. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Tickets for the show range from $35 to $55 and can be purchased online at www.northernquest.com/entertainment or by calling the box office at (509) 481-6700. Queensrÿche has sold more than 30 million records worldwide and dominated the heavy metal scene with its electrifying hard rock songs that have topped the Billboard Charts. Queensrÿche’s new album is set to release this fall.
