The Palouse Jazz Project, the faculty jazz sextet of the University of Idaho Lionel Hampton School of Music, has released its first album.
The album features original compositions and arrangements by members of the ensemble. The Palouse Jazz Project was established in 2006. In addition to faculty members, the group includes working students of all ages, according to a news release from the UI.
Current members are Vern Sielert, trumpet; Vanessa Sielert, saxophone; Alan Gemberling, trombone; Brian Ward, piano; Dave Bjur, bass; and Dan Bukvich, drums.
The album is available for purchase at the Lionel Hampton School of Music office (cash or check only), and for $9.99 through CD Baby, with digital downloads also available.
