Did you think I wouldn’t have any more trends for you? That I ran out of rad things to share with you to help you ‘up your game?’ Oh, silly, of course I have more for you.

Flavored sparkling water - La Croix was “it” for so long but now there are so many options for those of you who love water but also love a little flavor. Did that sound like the worst way to describe flavored water, making it sound a lot more fun than it really? It doesn’t matter, the fact is that flavored water is the way to hydrate now, and I’m really happy about it. Dasani has a flavored water line and Aquafina just came out with some really great flavors (for transparency’s sake, I will tell you that I work for Pepsi and we sell Aquafina).

Water bottles - reusable water bottles won’t really be ‘in’ style or ‘out of’ style. They are more of a staple for many people, and there are a few that reign over others. First, hilarious text on the sides of the cups. Things like, “This might be vodka,” and, “I’m Very Busy,” usually get some laughs, even though they’re lies. I mean, most the time. S’well water bottles are pretty amazing, but a little pricey. It will keep your drink incredibly cold for a very long time and it doesn’t sweat. You can purchase funny tumblers on Amazon and many, many online retailers. S’wells can be purchased at www.swellbottle.com and, same as the tumblers, many other retailers (Nordstrom, outdoor stores, trendy boutiques, etc).

Pool Floats - that’s right, floats for your pool. Or your neighbor’s pool. Or the beach. Heck, you could even lounge on a great pool float in your front yard with your sprinklers on. If you wanted to be very basic, you could go to Costco and get that boring blue or white pool lounger. But if you wanna be rad, my very favorite is the pegasus/unicorn gigantic pool float my parents had last year but, after one too many jumps on it from the diving board, that poor pegasus/unicorn hybrid lost a wing and horn. If you do a search for ‘pool floats’ on Amazon, you will see anything from a slice of pepperoni pizza to a vintage Nintendo remote control. Get a few of these (prices range from $10 to $75) and you’ll have the best summer ever.

Bitmoji - I’ll admit that while I have created a bitmoji, I don’t use it. What’s bitmoji? It’s an app you can use to create a caricature of yourself and use it to send to your contacts via text, snapchat, etc. I don’t use it because I created mine when my hair was much shorter and grey and when I was apparently feeling really skinny. Someone would look at my bitmoji now and laugh, so I just need to update it. They are funny and fun and, I think, free.

One Piece Swimsuits - Okay, so as a 32 year old mother of six, I’ve finally accepted the fact that I won’t look rocking in a one piece. And by that, I mean I will never feel comfortable in one. I envy those who are comfortable regardless of size and rock bikinis like it just ain’t no thing. I’m not one of them. So thank goodness Speedo isn’t the only option these days for one-piece swimsuits. Do you remember when, if you wanted a one-piece, that basically meant a strange fitted suit with a skirt or an athletic suit? Not anymore. Roxy, Volcom, J Crew, Boden, Modcloth, and many others now offer so many different styles and shapes and patterns of one-pieces that I’m actually excited to get a suit this season. My favorite? One that looks like I might be a surfer a la Roxy’s long-sleeved suits. I know, it’s a strange style, but I happen to love those strange styles. But for other unique looks, check out www.raisingwild.com. I’m in love.

Hair - If you asked me what cool hair was at the moment, I’d tell you one side shaved, dyed a crazy color, or maybe rainbow highlights. I know for a fact that very few people would ever follow my own personal hair trend favorites. But remember Whitney Barnes from the beauty trends story a bit ago? She told me that right now, pompadours for men is super trendy while women go for balayage (or free-handed highlights). But, I mean, if you wanna be rad like Ruthie, Whitney will also help you with that.

Sunglasses - Sunglasses in and of themselves are no trend. They’re a necessity. But what is trendy is a pair of super cute, fun, unique sunglasses. Wild Fox has some pretty great choices, but there are so many places to buy from: Amazon, Ban.do, Anthropologie, even Old Navy or Gap! Get some heart shaped lenses or ones shaped like kitty ears. Aviators are out. Cat ears are in. Maybe?
