The decor is eclectic at Hazel's Good Eats in Clarkston.

The staff at Hazel's Good Eats in Clarkston prides itself on food and fun.

You'll likely get a good helping of both when you visit Hazel's, the 2017 Best Breakfast Spot in the Inland 360 Readers' Choice Awards.

Hazel's earned 41 percent of the category's online vote from July 1-9 at inland360.com. This marked the third consecutive best breakfast award for the Bridge Street restaurant.

Manager Melinda Hamilton, whose worked at Hazel's for 10 years, said one key to Hazel's popularity is the "good, thick bacon." But there are other reasons.

"We've got a really fun and welcoming atmosphere," Hamilton said. "We joke around a lot, and people come for the humor."

Hazel's decor matches the staff's good humor. Many booths are distinctly decorated to match a theme. There's "The Love Shack," the "Cat House," and "Monkey Business" among others. The two restrooms feature simple images, one with a sausage, the other with eggs.

Hazel's is open seven days a week, from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays, and 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekends. Breakfast and lunch items are served at any time.

The two finalists in the 2017 Best Breakfast Spot category were Mystic Cafe in Lewiston and Zoe Coffee and Kitchen in Pullman. You can see complete results at inland360.com/the-360s.
