The Sound:Folk meets
world music steeped in psychadelia.
Bio: All multi-instrumentalists, writers and singers — Kevin Larkin, David Rynhart and Kris Drickey change instruments (sometimes within a song) and sing in three-part harmony while balancing field recordings and computer synths with traditional acoustic instrumentation. The group is touring behind their new live album “Ladder,” recorded in an old pipe organ chapel.
Unusual fact: The band was spontaneously formed in late 2010 when they booked a random tour in North Carolina, Tennessee and Mississippi before ever playing music together.
Members: Kevin Larkin — mandolin, samples, harmonica, percussion, vocals
David Rynhart — piano, guitar, banjo, vocals
Kris Drickey — banjo, percussion, synth, vocals
