Artist: Sandy Frazier Riggers
Genres: Christian, patriotic, country
Bio: A self-described hard-core patriot, singer, songwriter and Kamiah native Sandy Riggers has been performing for “God and country” since the 1990s. Her program, “I See America,” promotes honor and appreciation for America’s troops and veterans and includes original songs, video clips and stories. To date she has performed in seven states for veterans groups, churches and at venues like last year’s Vietnam Wall ceremony in Lewiston.
Unusual fact: Riggers says it was a tremendous honor to perform for Medal of Honor recipient Vernon Baker and, at his wife’s request, sing at his memorial in July 2010. Through her performances she’s also met Medal of Honor recipient Thomas Norris.
