PULLMAN – Cowboy poet and humorist Baxter Black is one of more than a dozen performers scheduled for the Washington State University Performing Arts’ Fall 2012 season. Tickets are on sale now.From music to theater, Zorro to Irish step dancers, the season offers a wide variety of entertainment. Shows are in the Jones Theatre at Daggy Hall.

Los Valientes (The Courageous Ones) by CORE Ensemble
7:30 p.m. Sept. 26
Musical theatre celebrating the lives of three heroic Latinos. Paul Quiros portrays artist Diego Rivera, Archbishop Oscar Romero, and outlaw Joaquin Murrieta aka Zorro. Tickets are $18 adults, $15 seniors, $8 students/youth. WSU students are admitted free.
Texas Reed Trio
7:30 p.m. Oct. 11
Presenting a concert of works by Mozart, Spisak, Tansmann and Villa-Lobos. Tickets are $14 adults, $11 seniors, $8 youth/students.
Baxter Black with an evening of “Saddlebag Stories”
7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and 27
Black, cowboy poet, ex-veterinarian and author of the most widely syndicated column in America expounds on the flaws and foibles of people who live with livestock. Tickets are $26 adults, $21 seniors, $13 students/youth, $10 WSU students.
“Of Mice and Men” by The Acting Company of New York
7:30 p.m. Nov. 9
The Acting Company presents a performance of the classic American tale of two drifters. Written by Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winner John Steinbeck. Directed by Ian Belknap. Tickets are $20 adults, $16 seniors, $12 students/youth, $10 WSU students.
The Gothard Sisters’ Celtic Holiday Concert
7:30 p.m. Nov. 30
Championship Irish step dancers and fiddlers, Willow, Greta and Solana Gothard help welcome the holiday season with an Celtic celebration for audiences of all ages. Tickets are $14 adults, $11 seniors, $8 students/youth.
Series tickets are $85 for five performances with choice of dates for Baxter Black.
