What's coming and going on Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu and HBO for April

Amazon Prime

"A Quiet Place," the family-centered horror film with Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, romantic comedy "Book Club" with Diane Keaton and Jane Fonda, and Jonah Hill's directorial debut "Mid90s," a coming-of-age film with Lucas Hedges and Katherine Waterston, make their respective streaming debuts in April on Prime Video.

On the streaming TV front, season five of "Bosch" and season two of "The Tick," two of Amazon's signature originals, debut along with new seasons of the cable shows "Vikings" and "Humans."

Older titles include "Everything Must Go" with Will Ferrell, the complete "Blade" trilogy with Wesley Snipes (the second film is directed by Guillermo Del Toro), Tim Burton's "Beetlejuice," Cheech and Chong's "Up in Smoke," and the first five seasons of "Murder, She Wrote," the eighties mystery series starring Angela Lansbury.

Brie Larson, star of the superhero hit Captain Marvel, makes her directorial debut with the fantasy "Unicorn Store," Rosario Dawson, Brittany Snow, and Gina Rodriguez star in the romantic comedy "Someone Great," and Kiernan Shipka and Stanley Tucci try to survive the apocalyptic future in "The Silence," which are among the Netflix Original movies debuting in the month of April.

Also debuting in April are a second round of episodes of "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina," zombie drama "Black Summer" with Jamie King, the natural history series "Our Planet" with Sir David Attenborough, the new comedy series "Special" and "Huge in France" with French superstar Gad Elmaleh, the sketch comedy series "I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson," the Korean miniseries "Persona" with Doona Bae, and a new stand-up special from Kevin Hart.

Theatrical movies coming to Netflix include "The Imitation Game" with Benedict Cumberbatch, an extended version of Quentin Tarantino's "The Hateful Eight," and Cannes Film Festival award winners "American Honey" from Andrea Arnold, Lee Chang-dong's "Burning" with Stephen Yuen, and Ken Loach's award winning "I, Daniel Blake." New TV shows include the debut season of "Legacies" from the CW and the seventh and final season of "New Girl."

Older titles arriving in April include "All the President's Men" with Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman, "Deliverance" with John Voight and Burt Reynolds, the original "Bonnie and Clyde" with Warren Beatty and Fay Dunaway, and "The Fifth Element" with Bruce Willis.

Among the titles leaving in April are the Oscar-winning "Silver Linings Playbook" with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence and "L.A. Confidential" with Russell Crowe and Kevin Spacey, David Fincher's "Seven" with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, and the British crime series "Luther" with Idris Elba.

Hulu

Nicole Kidman stars as a burned-out cop in the gritty "Destroyer," Emily Blunt and John Krasinski star in the family-centered horror film "A Quiet Place," Diane Keaton and Jane Fonda headline the romantic comedy "Book Club," and John C. Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix are "The Sisters Brothers," all coming to Hulu in April.

Also arriving in April is the debut of the Hulu Original series "Ramy" with Ramy Youssef as a first generation Egyptian-American in New Jersey, the acclaimed cable miniseries "I Am the Night" with Chris Pine, and the Swedish drama "Border."

Older films coming to Hulu in April include "Everything Must Go" with Will Ferrell, documentary "Project Nim," Oscar-winner "Cold Mountain," "The Cable Guy" with Jim Carey, the Coen Bros.' "Barton Fink," Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining," and classic comedy "The Seven Year Itch" with Marilyn Monroe.

Among the titles leaving Hulu at the end of April are "Young Adult" with Charlize Theron, Tim Burton's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" with Johnny Depp, "Field of Dreams" and "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" with Kevin Costner, and cult comedies "Wayne's World" and "Caddyshack."

HBO NOW

The much anticipated eighth and final season of "Game of Thrones" is coming to HBO in April, wrapping the epic series with six extra-long episodes. While that tends to dominate expectations, there are other highlights coming next month, notably the cable and streaming debuts of Spike Lee's Oscar-winning "BlacKkKlansman" and the hit romantic comedy "Crazy Rich Asians."

Also coming in April is "Native Son," a modern adaptation of the Richard Wright novel that comes to HBO direct from its debut at Sundance, the new series "Gentleman Jack," a British period drama based on a true story, and the six-part docuseries "On Tour with Asperger's Are Us."

Older films returning to HBO include the historical drama "Suffragette" with Carey Mulligan and Meryl Streep, "Mean Girls" with Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams, the director's cut of "Kingdom of Heaven," and Woody Allen's "Annie Hall," "Manhattan," and "Hannah and Her Sisters."

Among the films leaving at the end of April are "Wonder Woman," "Analyze This" and "Analyze That" with Billy Crystal and Robert De Niro, extended editions of "Dances with Wolves" and "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," and a sing-along version of "The Greatest Showman."
