This summer, Inland 360 is exploring the region’s out-of-the-box foodie scene in stories about food trucks, trailers and kiosks.

Sultana Kebab & Doner food truck

Fact: Doner kebab is a type of kebab made of meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie.

Go there for: A taste of Morocco and friendly service.

The Fare: Hearty naan bread sandwiches and saffron rice bowls featuring meat or falafel seasoned with turmeric, cumin, paprika and ginger.

Cost: Ranges from $5 for half a sandwich, to $11 for a full meal with a side of fries and a drink, to $12 for a platter with two kefta kebabs, fries and a side salad.

Sandwiches to try: Chermoula fish is tilapia flavored with a Moroccan marinade. Kefta is ground, spiced meat grilled as meatballs or patties.

Insider tip: Ask for extra tzatziki if you like things saucy versus dry. It’s 50 cents a side. Don’t skip the feta cheese.
