International affairs: a rising movie star in Rome spirals into self-destruction when he becomes obsessed with "The App" (Italy, 2019, not rated, with subtitles). Also new is the comedy "Como caído del cielo" (Mexico, 2019, not rated, with subtitles) about a womanizing celebrity given a second chance to earn his way into heaven.

Streaming TV: All six seasons of Shonda Rhimes' "Private Practice" (2007-2012), the medical drama spin-off of "Grey's Anatomy, are now available to stream. Also new is the second season of the reboot of the family science fiction show "Lost in Space: Season 2."

International TV: "The Bonfire of Destiny: Season 1" (aka "Le Bazar de la Charité") (France, with subtitles) follows three women (Audrey Fleurot, Julie De Bona, and Camille Lou) whose lives are upended in the 1897 Paris fire.

Kid stuff: the new animated shows "Transformers Rescue Bots Academy: Season 1" and "Fast & Furious Spy Racers: Season 1" are action shows for young tykes.

A French policewoman reassigned to French Guiana faces a murder with supernatural edges in "Iskander: Shadow of the River: Season 1" (France, with subtitles). All four episodes on Shudder.
